Learn how to leave a note, obtain conversation transcript, opt-out a contact manually + more!

Here’s a summary of the actions you can take in Conversation Notes:

Actions Available

Leave a Note

  • Track important information about a contact or conversation for your team.
  • Notes appear as yellow bubbles in the conversation feed and include the author's name and timestamp.
  • The note becomes part of the contact’s history and can be viewed by anyone on your team.

Tutorial: Leaving a Note

Opt Out a Contact

  • Ensure the contact no longer receives outbound messages, auto-responses, or broadcasts.

Mute a Contact

  • Stop inbound calls and texts from appearing in the inbox or integrated apps, while still logging them for records.

Email a Transcript

  • Send a copy of the conversation (with timestamps) to a contact.

Show/Hide Data Events

  • Toggle the visibility of informational events, such as conversation status changes or transfer of ownership.

Accessing Notes:

  1. In Classic or Compact View:
      • Click the pencil compose button in the top-right corner of the conversation window.

  1. In Wide View:
      • Open the feed, click the three-dot icon in the top-right corner, and select Notes from the dropdown.

  1. Via Hotkey:
      • Press “N” in an open conversation feed to open Notes.

Hotkeys for Notes Actions:

  • “N”: Open Notes.
  • “I”: Show or hide informational events in the feed.
