A2P Registration for New Users

A streamlined A2P registration form to make first-time applications faster and easier

How to start the A2P application process?

To start your A2P application process, head over to Settings > A2P & Use Case where you will find our registration form.

The A2P Registration Form

You will need to fill out the registration form with your business details. There are 2 ways to fill out the form, first is by searching your business details via your business EIN. Second is manually typing in the required details.

Step 1: Business Profile


All A2P (Application-to-Person) messaging applications begin by requiring you to provide information about your business. This upfront business verification is required by carriers and regulatory bodies to prevent spam and ensure legitimate messaging practices.

Fill out via EIN Search

If you use EIN search, we will attempt to get the business details that matches the EIN you provided. We will auto-populate all relevant fields in the Business Profile, Brand Information and Business Address sections. You will need to fill out any remaining fields that were not auto populated.

To ensure accuracy, locate your EIN Letter (CP 575 or 147C) from the IRS and use the exact details listed. This letter contains your official EIN and business name as filed with the IRS.

  1. Enter your business EIN in the search bar and press Search

  1. Click the result and it should auto-populate all relevant details on the form below.

  1. Fill out any remaining fields that doesn’t get populated.

Fill out Manually

If you don’t get a match using your business EIN, you can still fill out the form manually. Please double check all information you put in the fields are accurate. If possible, please refer to your IRS EIN letter (CP 575 or 147C).

Step 2: Use Case Description & Sample Messages


Use Case Description

The following step requires you to fill out details about your business operations and your planned approach to text messaging with contacts. Ensure all information is accurate and complete to avoid delays in approving your application.

Include the following in your description:

  • Type of business
  • Kind of messaging you'll send
  • Context and purpose of your messages
  • Target audience/recipient details

Sample Messages

Provide two different sample messages that closely reflect the actual content you'll send to contacts. These samples should align directly with your use case description and include any links or phone numbers you plan to use. Avoid including public URL shorteners.

Ensure each sample message includes:

  • Your business name when introducing yourself to contacts
  • Appropriate opt-out language (such as "Reply STOP to opt out") in at least one message

Step 3: Additional Checks


  • Direct Lending or Loan Agreement - Will this Use Case be related to direct lending or loan arrangements?
  • Embedded Link - Will you include embedded links in your messages? Public URL shorteners (Bitly, TinyURL, etc.) are prohibited.
  • Embedded Phone Number - Are you using any embedded phone numbers, not including the required HELP information contact phone number?
  • Age-gated Content - Will your messages contain age-gated content (such as alcohol, tobacco, adult services, etc.) as defined by Carrier and CTIA guidelines?
  • Terms and Conditions - Confirm that you attest that your business is following CTIA messaging principles and best practices, and is not performing affiliate marketing.

Once you’ve filled out the form and confirmed everything is accurate, press Continue. A confirmation pop-up will appear, press Submit to finish the application.

How do I check the status of my A2P application?

Once submitted, we’ll register a Brand and Campaign for your business. Please refresh your browser and go back to Settings > A2P & Use Case to check for the status of your application. You will also receive an email if there is an update to the status of your A2P application.

How long does the A2P use case registration process take?

Your use case registration becomes official once our DCA approves it through manual review process that takes up to a week, or longer if any information needs correction or verification.

My use case is approved, what do I do next?

Once your use case is approved, you can sync it to your Avochato inboxes and start messaging!
