Snooze Notification Sounds
Mute SMS, MMS and call sounds for a set period of time
Overview: Avochato lets you temporarily mute incoming notification sounds. This is useful when you're in a meeting, need to focus, or are stepping away. You can snooze sounds for a set duration or until a custom time, and choose whether to mute message sounds, call sounds, or both.
How to Mute Sounds
- Click the "Mute Sounds" option in the top navigation header.
- Select what you'd like to mute:
- Mute Incoming Messages - silences notification sounds for new chat/SMS messages
- Mute Incoming Calls - silences ring sounds for incoming calls
- Choose how long to mute sounds:

- Confirm your selection. The header will indicate that sounds are muted and show when they will resume.
How to Resume Sounds Early
If you want to turn sounds back on before your snooze period ends:
- Click "Mute Sounds" in the header.
- Click "Resume sounds".
Sounds will resume immediately.
What Snoozing Does (and Doesn't Do)
- Snoozing only mutes notification sounds, it does not hide, archive, or change the status of any conversations or tickets.
- New messages and calls will still arrive and appear in your inbox normally.
- When the snooze period ends, sounds resume automatically with no alert.
- This is a personal setting, muting your sounds does not affect any other user on your team.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I mute only calls but keep message sounds on?
Yes. When setting up your snooze, uncheck "Mute Incoming Calls" and leave "Mute Incoming Messages" unchecked (or vice versa) to mute only one type.
Will I be notified when the snooze period ends?
No. When the snooze expires, sounds resume silently in the background.
Does snooze affect browser or mobile push notifications?
Snooze mutes in-app notification sounds within Avochato. Whether browser or push notifications are also affected depends on your browser and device notification settings.
Is there a maximum snooze duration?
There is no enforced maximum, use the custom option to set any future date and time you choose.
